As we prepare ourselves for the birth of Jesus Christ our Savior and Lord, I would like to extend my advance and warm greetings to all of you in this most joyous time of the year. Before Jesus’ birth, Mary and Joseph had a hard time finding an inn and they struggled to find a beautiful place for him to be born. In this time of the pandemic, we struggle like Mary and Joseph, we could not go inside the church to celebrate the birth of our Savior and Lord.
This year is indeed a memorable year for all of us. We struggled, suffered, and some of us experienced death within our families because of the pandemic. Despite our sufferings and pains, we all know that God is with us- Emmanuel. He came to redeem us. Amidst our struggles, loneliness, and anxieties, the Lord challenges us to bring joy because that is what he shared with us when he was born here on earth to be with us. Jesus brought joy, peace, and love. The joy that he brought must not remain within us. It must be shared and radiated with our brothers and sisters. Let us get ready, the light of Christ comes to dispel the darkness of sin, suffering, death, and he will usher joy and peace the world needs at this present moment.
We are going to celebrate our Christmas masses this year with sacrifices. We are live-streaming all our masses on our Facebook page and the front page of our website. You can also park at the parking lot and TuneIn live on FM 98.7. We have received a dispensation that we could offer an early vigil mass this year. I am saying two masses on Christmas Eve at 2 pm (English) and 4:00 pm (English) for our Children’s mass. On Christmas Day at 9 am (English) and 11(Bilingual Mass). Communion will be distributed in front of the church after the mass. May the peace of Christ be born in your hearts in this Christmas season.
