EASTER SUNDAY
April 12, 2020

Dear St. Joseph Parishioners,

Happy Easter!

Today, the tomb is empty, and Jesus has risen. It is in this same spirit of jubilation that I would like to extend my joyful greetings of the Resurrection of Jesus to each of you. God’s love has triumphed! And this is the great news that should make us people of life, love, and hope. This Easter, God has proven to us that He is still God and Lord over all things and that nothing can defeat his power and his love for us. Indeed, we are the reason why God has fulfilled his promises – so that we may come to know this overflowing love of God for us. This Triumphant Love is given to us so that it may accompany us in our life journey with renewed life, and filled with hope, especially this time of the pandemic. We know and believe that the Lord without a doubt can deliver and resurrect us from all our fears and doubts, worries and pains, and sickness and death because He is the Resurrection.

           The Risen Jesus invites us to be people of the Resurrection! – people who believe in the new life, new love, and new hope that the Lord has won on our behalf. Yes! We are Easter people because we have received in faith this saving truth of our salvation – The Lord has already risen! He is alive and is among us! As Easter people, let us live, love, and hope with the Risen Jesus!
May the great news of the Risen Lord instill in your heart the grace of new life, new love, and new hope! Let us continue to be Easter people now and always.
